THE YOUNG NOVELISTS
Exclaim! dubbed their first EP “unpretentious brilliance” and this six-piece folk-roots band has won critical acclaim ever since. BlogTO called them “one of the top 5 folk bands to watch in Toronto” and their live shows capture audiences with both barnstorming singalongs and poignant ballads. Their new album ‘made us strangers’ will be released on April 28th.

THE MARRIEDS
London, ON duo Jane Carmichael (vocals, uke) and Kevin Kennedy (vocals, guitar) officially formed as The Marrieds in December 2010 when they posted 3 snow day songs on YouTube during London’s “Snowmageddon.” The songs received over 10 000 views in a couple of days and captured the attention of CBC Radio, making them “The Sound of the Day” across Canada.

This young couple currently has two full-length albums (Self-Titled released in 2011 and Saving Hope released in 2013) as well as an EP (Snow Song Trilogy released in 2011) under their belts. They’ve shared the stage with Kathleen Edwards, Bahamas, Danny Michel, Peter Katz, Treble Charger, The Trews, Lennie Gallant, Colleen Brown, Ian Thomas and Meaghan Smith to name but a few.
