THE YOUNG NOVELISTS
Exclaim! dubbed their first EP “unpretentious brilliance” and this six-piece folk-roots band has won critical acclaim ever since. BlogTO called them “one of the top 5 folk bands to watch in Toronto” and their live shows capture audiences with both barnstorming singalongs and poignant ballads. Their new album ‘made us strangers’ will be released on April 28th.
“…beautiful, soaring, rootsy Canadiana…” – herohill

CHRIS ALTMANN
“When you feel like you’re lost, and tired from travelling, walk on, you’re slowly heading home”. That’s the first line of song written by a man who, geographically, has many homes. Songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Chris Altmann is originally from the Adelaide Hills in South Australia, and now divides his time between Melbourne, Toronto, and Nashville. Along his journey he has embraced many musical styles; from his first group, country-rock tinged The Drowners, to the more modern pop/rock sound of The Vandas, and on to a solo career steeped in early 1970s Americana.
“4 stars. There’s nothing alternative about Chris Altmann’s brand of country. Que Paso is like a double shot of Jack Daniels served up straight.” – The Age, Melbourne
