eggnog! sweaters! music!

The holidays are upon us! In between the eggnog and mulled cider, Laura & I went on a tour with our east coast amigo Gabrielle Papillon, and in the midst of it recorded a version of “Silent Night” at Hunters Bay Radio in Huntsville. Listen to or download the song (all proceeds go to a great charity raising money to send girls to school in Tanzania!) and share it by an open fire while playing board games with friends and family.

Also, until January 4th, if you buy a CD from The Young Novelists Store you can enter the promo code “xmasyear” (for “in the year you were born”) or “xmasdublin” (for “live at dublin st. church”) and receive 25% off your CD orders! Note: this discount only works for physical copies, not digital downloads. They fit poorly in stockings, but are otherwise a really handy size!

Exciting news! We’ve been selected as official showcase artists for the upcoming Folk Alliance International Conference in Kansas City, MO in February! We’ll be playing alongside some other amazingly talented artists like Del Barber, Ariana Gillis, Dave Gunning, Jadea Kelly and Samantha Martin and be performing for US and International artistic directors, presenters and music lovers. It’s an amazing opportunity for us and we’re honoured to have been selected. Other than that (and a few other dates below), we’ll be laying low for much of the winter, letting the snow build up until we can engineer some really great tunnels and have ourselves a mini-fortress. We will also be starting intense pre-production on our next recording, to be released in 2014!

Happy Holidays everyone, and thanks for listening!
