autumn: leaves turn colours, we head south

Duo_All Dates_Fall2014We’re heading south to the land of unsweetened iced tea! It will be our first time touring in the US, and we could not be more jazzed about playing for new folks & old friends, seeing cities we’ve never seen before (hello, Aldie VA!), and celebrating our anniversary on the road like a good touring musician couple should. If you’re in the States or know cool people down south who love folk music and harmonies (and high-fives) please direct them to our SHOWS page. Below is our “American Roadtrip” poster that’ll give you a quick synopsis of the tour. For Ottawa peeps — our last show is a full-band matinee show at The Blacksheep Inn! Get your tickets here, it will be a hell of a fun reunion for us.

We have spent much of our summertime recording at Ill Eagle Studio with Carlin Nicholson from the band Zeus (!!!) and we are in the final stages of mixing the album now, which is very exciting! The artwork is being done by the amazingly talented Janine Stoll (who is also a fellow musician in a band called The Donefors) and it is already looking and sounding better than we hoped. We have to ask you to be patient though — we won’t be releasing the album until spring 2015. In the mean time we are planning tours for the fall/winter so hopefully we will be playing a show near you sometime soon! As always, if you’re interested in having us play a house concert or private event get in touch and we’ll try to make it happen.

We’re also heading out to numerous folk music conferences this year, and we’re excited to be playing an official Quad showcase at Northeast Regional Folk Alliance (NERFA)! We’ll also be in Missouri at Folk Alliance Regional Midwest (FARM) for the first time, and Graydon will be a panelist at Folk Music Ontario (FMO) here in Toronto. The season of apple cider is nearly upon us, and we’re happy to be so busy!
